The Garden Valley (Giardino della Valle) is a botanical garden of rare beauty, born 30 years ago in Cernobbio, on a combined illegal dump. Its implementation has been realized only thanks to the strength and courage of Mrs. Ida Frati, affectionately called by all grandmother Pupa. Now she has almost 90 years and she still works in the garden.

The project was born from the desire to offer a new green space to the community and tourists. No one has ever helped Grandma Pupa except his grandchildren. This wonderful and incredible woman has succeeded in transforming a place full of unusable waste in a beautiful botanical garden.

Over the years, the Garden Valley has become an oasis of calm and reflection, a true symbol of respect for nature. Here you will encounter elderly, adults and children, photographers, musicians and artists. The garden is located in Via Plinio. There is also another entrance from Regina Street near Villa d’Este.
